Guidelines for installing DACH W + DACH P panels in the two-layer system
Required tools and materials:
1. Mineral rockwool insulation panels URSA® DACH W
2. Mineral rockwool insulation panels URSA® DACH P
Guidelines for installing DACH W + DACH P panels in the two-layer system:
A solution that involves mechanical fastening to the trapezoid sheets or concrete flat roof:
Step 1
Unfold insulation foil for flat roofs with 15cm laps and stick the foil laps with the URSA® TOP-DK double-sided adhesive tape.
Step 2
The bottom DACH P panels must be laid perpendicular to the sheet waves, beginning from the eaves.
Step 3
The other layer, DACH W panels, must be laid in a staggered pattern.
Step 4
On the rockwool panels, roofing paper is laid.
Step 5
On the joints of the first layer of roofing paper, mechanical fasteners are fastened to the base (using self-tapping screws for trapezoid sheets). Use fasteners protected against corrosion, with a washer, or telescopic fasteners with a plastic sleeve. The number of fasteners is: 3 fasteners per 1m2 in the middle roof area, 6 fasteners in the edge area, 9 fasteners in the corner area. The anchoring depends on the wind exposure, which should be determined at the design stage.
Step 6
The first layer roofing paper is welded on 10cm wide laps.
Step 7
The top layer is welded all along.
For one-layer paper, PVC foil or EPDM membrane roofing, use the above procedure, except for step 7.
