Guidelines for installation of URSA® glasswool

Required tools and materials:
1. Mineral glasswool panels URSA® AKP1/V "Silence"
2. Mineral glasswool panels URSA® AKP1 "Silence"
3. Mineral glasswool insulation panels URSA® FKP "Energy saving house"
4. Mineral glasswool insulation felts URSA® DF40 "Warm ceiling"

Guidelines for installation of URSA® glasswool

Step 1
Place the URSA® AKP1/V "Silence" insulation panels behind perforated external wall or ceiling lining, with black veil to the back. Black veil colour looks like shadow behind perforated panels. URSA® AKP1/V "Silence" insulation panels are mounted to load bearing structure (grid of steel or aluminium profiles) spaced correspondingly to panel length. Next, from outside, face perforated panels are fixed. URSA® AKP1/V "Silence" insulation panels must never be glued to the ceiling.

Step 2
It is of utmost importance to ensure the tightness of AKP panel joints to prevent creation of thermal bridges.

Step 3
Recommended method of AKP panel installation is placing them in passing order in two layers (e. g. 2 × 40 mm).
The same applies to URSA® AKP 1 and URSA® FKP panels, as well as URSA® DF 40 felts.
