Guidelines for installation of URSA® FASADA and URSA® FASADA-L panels

Guidelines for installation of URSA® FASADA and URSA® FASADA-L panels
Step 1
Base preparation: base must be dry, capable of bearing load, and clean (refill possible losses, degrease and cleanse the base, for best results sanding bases must be primed); surface deviations must not exceed 10 mm as measure along a 2-meter rule, otherwise the base surface must be evened up.
Step 2
Works start with the installation of aluminium base slat at the height of 40 cm above the ground; make sure it is placed horizontally. Around the base fix with adhesive a 40-cm belt of reinforcement net.
Step 3
Apply adhesive mortar to URSA® FASADA panel uniformly in the form of 6 cakes, and rolls along four edges. In case of URSA® FASADA-L panels, apply the adhesive with serrated long float on the whole panel surface.
Step 4
Place the panels in passing manner in rows, with longer edges oriented horizontally.
Step 5
After 24 hours grind the panel surface with coarse sandpaper.
Step 6
On building corners the panels should be laid in interweaving pattern.
Step 7
Joints with window and doorframes should be made with a gap filled with permanently plastic material.
Step 8
Hole for pins must be drilled after 24 hours from fixing the panels. Use 6 pins per 1 square meter in buildings up to 20 m high, in higher buildings use 9 pins per 1 square meter in the edge zone (ca 2 m from the building corner).
Step 9
Minimum pin depth is 5 cm in a wall of concrete and full brick, and 9 cm in a wall of checker bricks or aerated concrete.
Step 10
Use only mechanical connectors with steel rustproof pin – driven by hammer or screwed in.
Step 11
Through a hole drilled in the panel insert a plastic connector and tap it in slightly, and next hammer a steel core until its head is flush with the panel surface.
Step 12
Apply mortar and reinforcement net on so prepared base from rockwool panels, and next place a layer of plaster according to the relevant instructions.
Step 13
When the building height does not exceed 20 m, and the wall is of clean concrete or brick, URSA® FASADA-L panels may be fixed using only adhesive.
